The most commonly used process for coloring aluminum suspension parts is anodizing. The color range for this application is very wide and is especially recognizable on the outer tubes of the front fork and the axle clamps. The shock reservoir often gets an elegant appearance after the application of anodize.
The color options for steel objects are more limited, this is because there is a different kind of technique used for this, called: DLC coating or titanium nitride coating. This metamorphosis is often applied to the inner tubes of the front legs and the spindle of the shock absorber. The DLC is a very hard operation and makes the surface deep black in color. Do you want a different color? In that case we are going to use the titanium nitride transition technique, this effect is available in the colors: gold, brown or purple/blue/green.
